Winter Wonderland 14 December - 5 January
Chorley’s Winter Wonderland will return to the town centre on 14 December – 5 January (except Christmas Day), with the popular real ice rink, festive tipis and children’s rides.

Chorley Prevention of Homelessness Strategy consultation 2024
In 2019 Chorley Council developed a new five year Prevention of Homelessness Strategy. We have reviewed and refreshed this strategy to cover the period 2025 to 2030. We have launched a formal consultation for key stakeholders, and the consultation will close on the 31st December 2024. You can access it by following the link below.

The refreshed strategy includes the proposed 2025-2030 action plan and the 2024 homelessness review, these documents can be accessed via the survey link.
All consultation responses will be considered and amendments made to the strategy and/or action plan as appropriate.

Chorley Council - Christmas Closure
Please note, the Union Street offices and contact centre will close at 1pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024.
We will be offering a limited contact centre service for urgent enquiries only on Friday 27, Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 December from 10am to 2pm.
Our services are available online at chorley.gov.uk including information about waste collection dates over Christmas and how to report missed bin collections. You can also tell us if you have moved address, its simple and easy to do online.
An out of hours emergency service will be available when the offices are closed by telephoning 01257 515142.
Our contact centre phone lines will reopen at 8am on Thursday 2 January 2025 and our offices will reopen on the same day at 8:45am.

Pantomime - Snow White - 8 December 2024
Snow White will be visiting Chorley Town Hall as this year's Pantomime performed by M&M Theatrical Productions.
Performances of Snow White will be at 10:30am, 12 noon and 2pm on Sunday 8 December.

Neighbourhood Area Meetings and 2025/26 Priorites
The next round of Neighbourhood Area Group Meetings will take place in February 2025.
At these meetings, members are invited to propose neighbourhood priority project ideas to be discussed and agreed for delivery between April 2025 and March 2026.
Prior to Christmas all area group members will receive information which details about creating your proposals and the process.
Proposals will need to be submitted prior to the meeting (deadlines below), so they can be collated and shared to help aid discussions within the meetings.

Santas Grotto Astley Hall 30 November - 22 December
We're very excited to announce that Santa will be visiting Astley Hall this Christmas, Saturdays and Sundays - 30th November - 22nd December. Pre-booked tickets only.
Access to Santa's Grotto is by pre-booked tickets only and the grotto will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, 30 November - 22 December, 10am – 4pm.
Santa can't wait to meet you at his grotto in the Astley Hall Morning Room and hear about the lovely things you have been up to this year.
In addition, 9am – 10am, of each Saturday will be a relaxed session in the Great Hall which will be quieter with reduced noise and increased lighting.
