Tree Giveaway
The council has helped plant over 150,000 trees and hedging plants, far bypassing the original target of 116k, a tree for every resident by 2025.
We have set a new challenge to plant 23,000 more. As part of this commitment the council is running another tree giveaway for Chorley residents to reserve and collect a free tree for their garden, helping to both provide a habitat for local wildlife and to positively contribute to the environment.
A free tree can be reserved online, and then collected at the tree giveaway event on Saturday 23 November at Strawberry Fields Digital Hub, 9am – 3pm.
There’s also information on the link about the species available to help pick the most suitable tree. All the trees available are British species which have berries, fruit or flowers to support different species of insects and birds.
The sign-up window will close on the 27 October 2024.
More information is available on the wesite where you can reserve your tree. Reserve your Tree at the Tree Giveaway
